Corporate Portraits

So... I have been standing people in front of various bushes and fauna of late for images for a corporate/public sector annual report! Very fun work though as I love doing these kinds of portraits and enjoy getting to spend a little time with different people who all have their own unique stories and personalities. Really lovely work if you can get it.

I heart Cumbria

Once a year, at the end of March, Cumbrian farm workers compete to see who can plough a field the best; the fastest and neatest. News and Star reporter Anna got a lesson and seemed to take to it rather well. It's pretty gruelling stuff, hard work that requires large amounts of patience and skill.

Cumbria Dance Auditions

I went to auditions for a Cumbria wide dance company on Sunday (not to audition myself, unfortunately, though I did feel like joining in). 16 dancers were going to be picked from 40.

Finals Day

More youths playing football! This was a 2 day event where kids from all over the Carlisle area got to play competitively at Carlisle United's football ground, Brunton Park. They all really enjoyed it and so did I, even 800 (approx) team photos later.

King's Parade, Carlisle

The King's Parade saw veterans and cadets marching through Carlisle from the Castle to the Cathedral. This was really enjoyable as myself and the reporter met some very interesting and entertaining characters and after being heckled by a large group of veterans found that my recent running training came in very handy when racing ahead of the parade with camera, back pack and anorak.

Gordon Brown visits Carlisle

Gordon Brown visited Carlisle the day before election and whizzed through the station in 2 minutes flat. A Socialist protestor was removed by police.
