*CARLISLE GOINGS ON*

Christmas shopping kicks off in Carlisle.

Young people in business held their own trade fair at the Fratry in
Carlisle on Saturday and I got slightly carried away with the fish eye
lens... again.

3 year old Olivia made Christmas decorations and a crown
with her mum and grandad.

I'm going to be doing some weddings, in collaboration with Picture You,

*RECENT THINGS*

Keswick's traditonal Christmas fayre proved everyone was determined
to have a good time and eat many many mince pies regardless of the
devastation caused by the recent floods.

These workers were given letters telling them they were sacked with
emmediate effect by a cleaning company based in Carlisle. They are
owed hundreds of pounds each in wages.

**FOOTBALL AND COWS!**

My trip to London coincided with the biggest news of the year in
Cumbria - the floods. People are still dealing with the aftermath and
I hope to do a portrait project on some of the people who were affected.
I was around to catch the junior football again - an U12 match between
High Hesket (red) and Dalston (red and black) - and the Christmas prime
stock fair in Wigton. These events are really quite intrieguing to me, seeing
as they are completely new to me, and I tend to get a bit carried away
photographing farmers and cows... I hope they don't mind too much.
